Actriz británica. Comenzó su carrera como cantante de opereta, y posteriormente fue aclamada por sus encantadoras y alegres actuaciones en Dorothy (1887), como también en sus giras por Canadá y EE.UU. a principios de la década de 1890, con operetas como The Bohemian Girl y la obra Los piratas de Penzance. En 1899 comenzó a actuar en comedias de mayor contenido, entre las cuales cabe destacar English Nell (1900), Mrs. Dot (1908) y La fiebre del heno (1925).
